Report: YouTube Too Fixated on Engagement to Curb Toxic Content

The problem YouTube now faces is how to create an effective mechanism to handle problematic content, observed Cayce Myers, an assistant professor in the communications department at Virginia Tech. "Much of this content doesn't violate YouTube's social community standards," he said. "This is content that is borderline."
